What is Dupuytren's Contracture?
Dupuytren's Contracture is a contraction of the Fascia tissue just under the skin of the palm. The contraction of the tissue causes fingers of the hand to curl and become stiff.
Lumps in Palm Of Hands
The tendons and ligaments in the hand are not normally affected, but it is the Fascia "sheet like" layer just below the surface of the skin, designed to support the palm of the hand, that becomes stiff and tough. Sometimes there are small hard lumps in the palms. The lumps and the thickening are not normally painful but can be very inconvenient when having to "shake hands" or open a jar.
Cases are most often isolated to one hand and range from mild to severe. The progressive condition is most common in middle aged men but can affect adults of all ages.
Normally caused by over use and repetitive activities, De Quervain's Syndrome can be very painful. Daily chores like lifting heavy objects, gardening, house cleaning and washing clothes.
Causes of Dupuytren's Contracture?
While the exact cause of Dupuytren's Contracture is still unknown, a lot of physicians and studies indicate that this could be a hereditary condition. Some research shows evidence of poor circulation to the Fascia tissue which could cause it to shrink.
Other studies show an over production of collagen around the tendons in the palm of the hand. Collagen, a structural protein, is naturally made by the body to facilitate connective tissue. For some reason, this natural process is interrupted and an excessive amount of collagen is manufactured and deposited in the specific areas of the fascia tissue in the palm of the hand.
Depending on the severity of the condition, some physicians will treat differently. Some suggest collagenase injections that help release the tension and is suggested for severe cases. Other treatments may include medications and even surgeries.
We recommend a non-invasive, medication free, simple, and safe treatment of wearing Far Infrared Gloves on a regular basis.
The FIR emitted from the Therapy Gloves helps to reduce collagen buildup, promotes circulation and increases tissue flexibility.

Subject: Information on Infrared Gloves
I bought your gloves for a friend who suffered from arthritis but she was loth to try them at first.. then I spotted that they could "slow down collagen growth" and thought WOW I'll try them.
I have had Dupuytren's contacture in my right hand for over a year - it has progressed a little each week to the point that I cannot flatten my hand and it has recently started in my left hand. HOWEVER since I have worn your gloves for the past 2 months every night the disease has NOT PROGRESSED at all - in fact I can now flatten my hand to the table (still hurts a bit) but I can do it.
I feel I MUST recommend these items to other sufferers. I don't think you realise HOW effective your gloves are in assisting this particular disease- I have sent this info directly to the Dupuytrens Society.. In the hope they will pass it on to fellow sufferers.. Now my friend with arthritis has her own pair of gloves and we recommend your products to all we know who need them.
Thanks a MIllion for giving us all hugely improved quality of life.
